This is a unique 3-day camp at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center Lodge in Greeneville where you will learn quilting and social etiquette (social, dining and business manners). You will complete a lap quilt, learn about various quilting techniques, meet new friends, enjoy learning social graces together and have FUN with camp activities like swimming, canoeing and the ropes course.
Participants will complete either a lap quilt or a baby quilt. If accepted, 4-H members will have to provide materials for their quilt (which could cost as much as $50 depending on where the fabric is purchased). Quilting frames will be set up to practice hand quilting as well as a quilt trunk show to allow 4-H’ers to see various quilting patterns and methods.
In the evenings, we will learn and practice social skills. We will experience fun games and relays as we practice Manners and Social Graces.
