All Stars Grades 9-12
FALL ALL STAR CONFERENCE, November 14-16, 2008 Edgewater Hotel, Gatlinburg
Tennessee All Stars was established as a recognition program for 4-H members. Before a 4-H'er can become an All Star member, they have to be members of a local Honor Club. Honor Clubs are organized statewide and provides recognition of junior high 4-H members who have demonstrated consistent leadership ability and have been active members in their clubs and communities. All Stars provide service to others through individual and cooperative efforts. For additional information on becoming an All Star member or upcoming events, please contact your local county Extension office.
The major service project conducted at the 2008 Spring Conference was collecting monies to purchase "Boost" for cancer patients in East Tennessee. All-Stars from the Eastern Region collected $2310 for this worthwhile project..
The All Stars also began construction on 99 judging team plaques to be awarded to champion team members and High Individuals in Judging Contests conducted in the Eastern Region in 2008. The All Stars also worked on several Camp Beautification projects while at the conference. The Eastern Region All Stars completed hundreds of hours of service during Spring Conference.
